Evaluation: Question 1, part 1 (Front Cover)

My front cover of my music magazine is heavily influenced by other magazines in my genre. It does however, have a more streamlined approach and less text, something I feel gives a cleaner approach to my magazine. It retains a similar ideology to DJ mag, with the artist being in front of my Masthead, helping the idea that the artist and subsequently the music is more important than the brand. it features the artist and their name prominently, more so than the rest of the text, and this does follow conventions of my genre of magazine.

  1. You've only pointed things that you've done out you've not made any reference to why you've used them and what this means for your product in the market place. Is it all great? Can you HONESTLY, put your magazine next to the professional one and not identify anywhere you could improve or where your magazine doesn't match the professional one? Think of the quality of image or background. In addition think about the way your text seems flat, is there a reason for your choices. You've meant to have been looking to make your magazine the BEST it can be, the most true to a real magazine do you think you have achieved this? Can you make sure you do this. Please let me know if you don't want to make changes by tomorrow as your mark will stand.
